MY INDIA@2047
MY INDIA@2047 — Prosperous, Self-Reliant, Physically Fit, Mentally Strong
and Rooted in Heritage — What should India look like when it completes 100 years
of Independence in 2047? For Dr. Abhishek Gilara, the answer cannot be measured
by GDP alone. A truly developed India must certainly be economically powerful
and globally respected—but it must also create opportunity for the millions of
Indians whose hands, skills and traditions form the real foundation of the country.
Drawing from around 25 years inside his family’s 106-year heritage jewellery
legacy, Dr. Gilara presents a deeply personal vision of India@2047. He argues that
India’s traditional arts cannot survive through emotional preservation alone. If
heritage has to survive, the artisan has to prosper. His experience with Kundan,
Meena, Polki and Jadau craftsmanship showed him a powerful cycle: Heritage
becomes fashion. Fashion creates demand. Demand creates business.
Business creates livelihoods. Livelihood creates dignity. And dignity gives the next generation a reason to carry the craft
forward. But MY INDIA@2047 goes far beyond heritage. It imagines an India where: Every Indian can learn. Every capable
hand can create value. Every artisan can see prosperity in inherited skill. Villages can become centres of enterprise rather
than only sources of migration. Indian manufacturing competes with the world’s finest. India develops technology rather
than only consuming it. Energy security strengthens national self-reliance. Indian brands become globally desired. Physical
fitness becomes part of everyday culture. Mental strength grows through discipline, learning, dharma and spiritual grounding.
Education creates capability—not merely certificates. And most importantly, India becomes modern without becoming
culturally rootless. Dr. Gilara’s vision is neither anti-global nor nostalgic. It is an invitation to build a country that is confident
enough to learn from the world while remaining secure in its own identity. A country where AI and artisans coexist.
Where laboratories and spiritual wisdom coexist. Where global luxury and ancient craftsmanship coexist. Where wealth and
dharma coexist. Where roots and ambition strengthen each other. At the heart of the book lies one challenge: Do not ask
only, “What should India become by 2047?” Ask, “What should I become for India to become that?” Because India@2047
will not be built only through speeches, policies or giant projects. It will be built through millions of Indians taking responsibility
for their own part of the nation. Build the individual. Build capability. Build enterprise. Build health. Build character.
Build heritage into prosperity. And a stronger India will follow. MY INDIA@2047 is ultimately not a prediction of India’s
future. It is a personal invitation to help create it. Prosperous. Self-Reliant. Physically Fit. Mentally Strong. Rooted in Heritage.
