WE BUILD TALL. GOD BUILT THE SKY. Humans May Build
Wonders That Leave Us Speechless—but Can Anything We Build
Ever Be Bigger Than Creation? It began with a simple conversation.
At a show, Dr. Abhishek Gilara met a spiritually inclined gentleman
who proudly described the enormous institution built by his Guruji.
The implication was simple: Look how much he has built. Imagine
how great he must be. That conversation triggered a deeper question:
When did we begin measuring spiritual greatness in acres? We are
impressed by huge institutions. We admire enormous wealth. We
count followers. We celebrate skyscrapers. We applaud technology.
We marvel at artificial intelligence. Human achievement deserves
admiration. But then— look up. We build towers. Creation gave us
mountains. We create lights. Creation gave us the sun. We build
machines. Creation produced life. We create artificial intelligence.
But the human intelligence capable of creating it remains a wonder itself. So perhaps the question
is not whether humanity should stop building. Perhaps the question is: Can we build enormously
without becoming enormously egoistic? Through reflections on business, gurus, Indian spiritual
philosophy, the Bhagavad Gita, karma, leadership, heritage, ambition and his own journey, Dr.
Gilara explores a different measurement of greatness. A guru is not great because thousands bow
before him. He is great when his teaching teaches thousands how to bow before truth. An institution
is not great merely because it occupies enormous land. It becomes great through what it does for
the lives within and beyond that land. A successful person is not great merely because of what he
owns. His greatness is revealed by what success does to his character. And human achievement
does not become smaller when we acknowledge God. It becomes more meaningful. ⸻ BUILD
THE COMPANY. BUILD THE INSTITUTION. BUILD THE WEALTH. BUILD THE BODY.
BUILD THE KNOWLEDGE. BUILD THE LEGACY. BUILD AS HIGH AS YOU POSSIBLY
CAN. But remember: THE HIGHER YOUR ACHIEVEMENT, THE DEEPER YOUR GRATITUDE
SHOULD BECOME. Because the tallest tower humanity has ever built still stands beneath
the same sky. And perhaps that sky carries one permanent lesson for all of us: BUILD HIGH. BUT
BOW HIGHER. WE BUILD TALL. GOD BUILT THE SKY.
