IT’S NOT ME. IT’S SOMEONE ELSE.
ITʼS NOT ME. ITʼS SOMEONE ELSE. When people ask me, “How could
you do so much?” my answer is simple—the hands may be mine, but
the One giving the strength, direction and opportunity is God. देनहार
कोई और है, भेजत सो िदन रैन। लोग भरम हम पर करें, तासों नीचे नैन॥ We
work, plan, sacrifice and remain disciplined, but our effort is never
the entire story. Who gave us the body, intelligence, time, teachers,
family, mentors, employees, craftsmen, customers and opportunities
that shaped our journey? Inspired by Rahim, the Bhagavad Gita and
the philosophy of karma, this book explores the balance between
intense effort and complete surrender.
PRAY DEEPLY. PREPARE COMPLETELY. WORK INTENSELY. LEARN CONTINUOUSLY. CORRECT HONESTLY.
THEN SURRENDER WHAT LIES BEYOND YOUR CONTROL. Arjuna had the bow; Krishna held the reins.
FALSE HUMILITY SAYS, “I DID NOTHING.” EGO SAYS, “I DID EVERYTHING.” WISDOM SAYS, “I DID MY
PART—AND I WAS NEVER ALONE.” Do your karma fully, and when genuine control ends, surrender fully.
UPWARDS—GRATITUDE. OUTWARDS—CREDIT. INWARDS—RESPONSIBILITY. Keep your hands working,
your standards high, your mind learning and your heart surrendered—and as your achievements rise, let
your ego fall: MY HANDS WILL KEEP WORKING. BUT THE CREDIT WILL KEEP TRAVELLING UPWARDS.
