Going, Going… and One Day Gone

Updated: Jun 18

A Melodious Reflection by Dr. Abhishek Gilara

Going, going… and one day gone, A whisper fades with breaking dawn. We’re born to crawl, then rise and stand. Held by love and guided by hand.

We crawl, then toddle, feet so small, unaware we’re headed for life’s call. We walk, then march through the school’s bright gate, dreams in bags, and books of fate.

We go to college, chase the sun, believing life has just begun. We build a name, a job, a role, A career crafted from heart and soul.

We find a partner, tie the thread, Two souls walking where vows are said. We hold new hands, our children born, The next new life, the next new dawn.

And they will crawl, just like we did. The same old tale, from kid to kid. They walk, they run, they chase their dream. In this never-pausing, flowing stream.

They go to school, then college too. Repeat the paths we once walked through. They marry, bloom, create again, A cycle spun in joy and pain.

And somewhere in this spinning song, without a sound… we are just gone. No final note, no bell to chime—just vanished softly into time.

So while you walk this winding track, take a breath; don’t just look back. Dance a little, laugh and sing. Life’s not a race; it’s a sacred ring.

Going, going… and one day gone, but your soul’s joy can still live on. So live with heart, not just with plan—and make this cycle worth its span.
