“Do Watch – Your Kid Might Be in Threat”

by Dr Abhishek Gilara

This morning, as I gazed out of my window into the garden, a small scene became a powerful life lesson.

On the walkway below, I saw a baby bird struggling, with a larger bird standing nearby. My first instinct was compassion—I assumed it had fallen from a nest, and its mother had come to help. I quickly called the guard and guided him to place the baby somewhere safe.

But within moments, the truth surfaced.

That big bird wasn’t the mother.

It was a small eagle.

It gripped the helpless baby bird in its claws—and flew away. Its prey was taken while no one was watching.

And then it hit me...

How many eagles are circling around our children? Not the kind with feathers—but the kind with hidden, harmful intentions. They pretend to be friendly, helpful, and even nurturing—but they prey on innocence.

What gave the eagle its chance?

The absence of protection. The silence. The solitude. The missing eyes of a parent.

Let this be a powerful reminder to every parent:

Be present. Be aware. Stay close—not to control, but to guard.

Because the world isn’t always safe. And children—no matter how smart—are still learning to fly.

They don’t need surveillance. They need your presence. Your trust. Your protection.

Let no eagle think our child is alone. We are watching. We are listening. We are standing nearby. And no predator shall fly too close—without meeting our wings first.

Be the reason your child walks in confidence, knowing that someone always has their back.
